Directed by Deborah Kaplan & Harry Elfont, the film follows the ascent of the small-town pop-punk band (Rachel Leigh Cook, Rosario Dawson, and Tara Reid) as they make it to the top of the charts and a record label run by casual supervillain Fiona (Parker Posey).
But when Josie discovers subliminal messages hidden in their music as part of Fiona’s evil plan to become the most adored celebrity in the world, the band’s got to choose between their artistic integrity or capitalist fame.
