For International Women’s Day, we’ll be celebrating one of the most important voices in the 1960s Czechoslovak New Wave with Vera Chytilová’s anti-patriarchy surrealist comedy-drama “Daisies”.
Following, a pair of young women named Marie (Ivana Karbanová and Jitka Cerhová), who after realizing that the world is spoiled, embark on a beauteous spree leaving gleeful gluttony, giddy destruction in their wake. But after ripping off older men and feasting on lavish meals, eventually the fun has to end… and then what?
