Gruff Rhys of the Welsh rock group Super Furry Animals traces the route of his 18th century ancestor, John Evans, across the great plains of the USA. Evans was searching for a lost tribe of Welsh speaking Indigenous people, the Madogwys. This quirky film follows Rhys on his journey – an “Investigative Concert Tour” – from Yale University, where Evans’s original map is supposed to reside, via Baltimore, St. Louis to the Dakotas, and down the Mississippi basin.
