Edward Scissorhands with Live Burlesque

Step into a world of whimsy, wonder, and a little wickedness! Join us as Frisque Femme Productions brings their signature style to the ByTowne stage with a live burlesque performance inspired by the magic and melancholy of Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands. Expect sultry surprises, dazzling costumes, and playful homages to the film’s gothic romance before we dim the lights for a screening of Burton’s beloved classic. The wonderfully strange story of a gentle, scissor-handed outsider and his star-crossed love, Edward Scissorhands remains a beautifully strange fairy tale about creativity, conformity, and finding beauty in the unconventional. It’s an enchanting mix of tease and tenderness—perfect for fans of fantasy, film, and fabulous performance art. *Event pricing in effect 19+

The Choral

Oscar nominee Ralph Fiennes stars, in the lastest drama from director Nicholas Hytner ("The Lady in the Van") depicts a British choir director's efforts to form an ensemble during World War I. Written by playwright Alan Bennett, "The Choral" highlights music's power to uplift in troubled times. Set in 1916, the Great War has left a Yorkshire choral society without voices. Dr. Guthrie (Fiennes) must recruit adolescent singers for a performance of Edward Elgar's The Dream of Gerontius. As a demanding taskmaster, he helps the teens discover the joys of singing together while facing conscription.  "The Choral" is a poignant reminder of the importance of community and art in processing anxieties and fostering hope.
